NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION: "BECOMING OF SPRING, WITH PURE JOY"

 2022 REFLECTIONS

2022 was honestly a wild ride of joy and exploration.

It was a nice decision to start streaming in 2022, because I got to meet new friends beyond my Splatoon community of friends.

My Splatoon community has been a pillar of moral and social support during my darkest days during Covid-19, as fears looms on getting infected from workplace, and passing it to my loved ones (Fast forward to 2023, I have never been down with covid-19 yet. We might say, I could have the covid dodge now).

Things are much more stable than before, now that more people are vaccinated against the virus.

As Covid-19 dies down. My life got a lil brighter.

But of course. When life goes back to normal, life got busier for the mods in our tiny Splatoon discord.
We used to have seasonal splatfest on our own, with the mods hosting it. That was the period where I got really interested in playing splatoon competitively back then.

However, since the mods were busy irl. The rest of us were wondering on taking up the tradition.
So that, was a huge project within our small group, to make a small friendly Splatfest on our own. And I went a little bit further by streaming it, so that others in the discord could join us in the fun while watching all the action.

THE 'ADOPTION' INTO THE ARKNIGHT COMMUNITY

I was also a Genshin player as well. However, with inadequate specs on my laptop. I was unable to stream Genshin.
But a friend introduced me to Arknights. And that very night, where I first tried it on stream, I am miraculously greeted and found by my current mod, Nanashi and Popular Arknights streamer, Rumby.

I began to show a lot of interest in the game, because there was a good story and lore behind the game. And the mechanics although seem daunting at first, turns out pretty interesting the more you play it.

Nanashi grinded me hard on the game, because it was the  Arknight's anniversary event that was running during that period. Which was " Dossoles" Where event rewards were plenty and precious.

Events after Events, I get to see new faces in chat. And got to meet new streamers and viewers too.
I found a comfortable spot to relax my tired mind after work, in a mini bing chilling spot.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND THE UNACCOMPLISHED

Before the start of my streaming hobby, I was into learning DAWs. My resolution was to make beautiful memories, hoping of a great year full of creativity.

And here we are, with the end of 2022.
I got back to digging my old drawing tablet that I stowed away for 2 years. and started art again ( in a means to save money for sub emotes and animated emotes).

Though, one thing I didnt really felt accomplished much. Was music.
I was so into streaming, that I forgot my love for writing lyrics and original songs. And it felt like, I was losing my touch on it.
I was beginning to be lazy on making something and went with song covers instead.

But, close to the end of the year. the Cyberpunk Contest was something that lifted the curtains for music , for my interest in the search for sounds.

I had a resolution of getting into tape loops making before getting into streaming.
Mainly because of an awestruck inspiration from Artist Alessandro Cortini's ( who does OST for Tom Clarency's Ghost Recon Breakpoint) tape loops works and also AMULETS for introducing me to the wonders of tape loops.

And in 2023, I wish to get back on track with my resolutions.

JANUARY 2023 RESOLUTIONS

For the year of 2023, not only will I wish for a year of creativity once more, but also a year of reflections.

Turning 25 years old is pretty much a big thing. And as my mid-twenties comes up, I wish to let go of regrets and feelings of the past.
It is impossible to turn back time. But untying the knots and feelings of the past, may still be mended.

With Music as a reflection of my emotions. I envision a hope of undoing the knots of regrets and make peace with the past.

"FIND ME IN THE WOODS"

" Find me in the woods" was an experimental track from last year, as I learn to rely less on my guitar. and learning to use MIDI instruments. It taught me to sought in my external synths ( KORG VOLCA) when it seems that I ran out of options on drums.

This track was an exploration on the ambience genre of music, with a fusion of tapes and sampling.
